About Santa Barbara
The Learn and Launch program is located in beautiful Santa Barbara, California, a city of over 88,000 residents located between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Santa Barbara is located 90 miles north of Los Angeles, CA and can be accessed easily by arriving international attendees.
Santa Barbara’s downtown district features shopping, restaurants and cultural attractions like the Mission Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is often described as the “American Riviera.”
Santa Barbara’s Mediterranean climate provides the city with dry, warm summers and mild winters. This makes Santa Barbara ideal for outdoor recreation including surfing, hiking, kayaking, golfing, swimming, biking, running and more. Fresh, local and organic food is available at weekly farmer’s markets in Santa Barbara, Goleta and on the UCSB campus.

Flying to the US
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the best destination airport for our Santa Barbara and Southern California camps. The international airport has many international flights originating in large cities near you.
If you are interested in including the San Francisco Bay Area in your custom program, we suggest your return trip leave from San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
We arrange all transportation and transfers for the Learn and Launch program and will pick your group up at the airport and transport you to Santa Barbara.

Getting to Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is just 95 Miles (152 Km) from Los Angeles International Airport.
Our program includes transfers for all participants in our programs. We’ll coordinate with your program representative to have our partner transportation companies to pick you up.
Learn and Launch’s Santa Barbara location also gives us easy access to Disneyland, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Camarillo Outlet Mall and more.
